Hello! I am a Senior Mathematics Major at Haverford College. I am working towards my mathematics education certification along with taking rigorous level math classes. I am a firm believer that anybody can learn math-that you don't have to be a "math person" in order to succeed in mathematics and on standardized tests. I know from my own experience that I often struggled in mathematics but with the right support from kind, informative teachers, I was able to major in math and succeed at a challenging, top ten college in the US. I love helping others realize their potential in a subject that may have otherwise felt challenging and I am dedicated to helping students learn through patience, understanding, and practice. I approach every lesson with a positive attitude and I believe in the power of attitude for success. I graduated from Pennsbury High School so I'm relatively local to the area and I attended the Neshaminy School District as well. I'm familiar with curriculum in bucks county and I have student taught at numerous schools in the area to work towards my education certification.
Experience
I want to tutor because I want to pay it forward and help students realize their potential. I had great teachers in my life who really helped me grow academically. Not only did they help me learn but they improved my confidence a great deal by believing in my abilities as a student. I want to help students through tutoring the way my teachers helped me. I have worked with students studying math in various areas throughout the region for the past three years. I work with all different types of math-from first grade arithmetic to calculus two and SAT Prep. I enjoy helping individuals learn and understand difficult material. I scored highly (2100) on the SAT and took many AP classes in high school so I am very well versed in those tests.

Hobbies
I have other varying interests as well- I attended Manhattan School of Music where I studied voice, music theory, and opera. I love traveling and I've been to Italy a couple of times. I enjoy staying active and I'm an outgoing person who loves nature, discovering new things and treating each day like a new opportunity to experience something awesome! I try to always keep things positive and I believe in taking things one day at a time. This attitude has helped me succeed academically and combat academic anxiety. I regularly practice yoga and work on de-stress methods for teaching. I hope to help you succeed in your academic endeavors and cultivate a positive learning environment for anyone I tutor.
